Questions for job seekers
What are the house rules?
Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Please keep noise to a minimum during this time to respect other residents. No Smoking & No Drugs: The property is a non-smoking and drug-free accommodation. This applies both inside the house and around the property. Cleanliness & Order:
Keeping the house clean is the responsibility of all residents. We strongly recommend thoroughly cleaning the accommodation at least once a week.
If during a random inspection the house is found not clean enough, a warning will be given first. If the situation does not improve, a professional cleaning company will be hired and the costs will be charged to all residents.
Shared areas such as the kitchen must always be cleaned after use. Inspections: Random inspections may take place. Permission will always be requested before entering the accommodation. Guests: Guests are welcome, but overnight guests are not allowed during quiet hours. Please be considerate of fellow residents. Leave / Vacation Periods: During leave periods, the employee may stay in the accommodation and leave personal belongings in the house. Rent will still be deducted from the salary during this period. General Compliance: Failure to comply with the house rules may result in fines or eviction.
What is your transport policy?
Our transportation policy applies to commuting between home and work using GR8 Move company cars, or when an employee uses their own private vehicle for commuting purposes for themselves and, where applicable, for colleagues. Employees who use their own car for work-related travel receive a mileage reimbursement, generally €0.23 per kilometer driven. When colleagues are transported as part of carpooling, an additional carpool bonus applies. It is strictly forbidden to enter or operate any vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In such cases, the driver is not insured. It is also not permitted to have alcohol or drugs, including any leftovers such as empty cans or bottles, present in the vehicle at any time. Any damage caused by the driver to the exterior or interior of the vehicle will be charged to the driver on a one-to-one basis; an invoice and damage report will be provided. In the event of acute breakdowns where it is no longer possible to continue driving, the driver must immediately inform the company, ensure the vehicle is parked in a safe location, and call the phone number listed on the sticker inside the car for assistance. Traffic fines incurred due to the driver’s behavior will be charged directly to the driver, including administration costs, and will be deducted weekly from salary where legally permitted. This may result in the driver temporarily earning only the statutory minimum wage until the fine has been fully repaid. When driving a GR8 Move company car, the vehicle may be used strictly for business purposes only, and it is not permitted to claim any mileage reimbursement for these trips.
How does the salary payment work?
Salary payments are processed only after a correctly completed and approved timesheet has been submitted. The timesheet must be handed in to your account manager no later than 12:00 noon on the first working day following the end of the workweek. Salaries are paid on Thursday or Friday, depending on the timely submission of the timesheet and the approval process on the client’s side. If you have arranged your health insurance through GR8 Move, the insurance premium will continue to be deducted during leave periods; the same applies to housing costs. It is possible to request a salary advance of up to a maximum of one net weekly salary. Any advance granted will be fully deducted from the salary in the following week; repayment in installments is not possible. Expense claims, such as for airline tickets, tools, or similar items, will only be reimbursed if both an official invoice and a payment receipt are provided.
How do you handle healthcare and sick leave?
We aim to ensure that our employees have access to proper healthcare and clear support in case of illness. All employees have the option to take out health insurance through us with Zorg & Zekerheid. In 2026, the premium for this insurance is €38.02 per week, which is deducted weekly from the salary. This insurance provides basic coverage and also includes reimbursement for emergency dental treatment and repatriation. To further support access to medical care, we work together with several general practitioner practices in Rotterdam, allowing our employees to visit a GP without additional costs. In the event of illness, employees are required to follow the sick leave protocol as published on this website, ensuring that absence is reported correctly and handled in line with applicable rules and regulations. Payment of sick leave hours is always on Friday.
Do you offer a referral bonus?
Yes. Active employees are eligible for a referral bonus when they introduce a new employee. The bonus is paid gross and in installments through the regular payroll: €500 after 4 weeks worked, €250 after 8 weeks, and €250 after 14 weeks. The total referral bonus is €1,000 gross. The only condition is that you must still be actively employed with us at the time of payment.

questions about housing
What happens to housing when my work stops or my contract ends?
You are entitled to maintain housing for 4 weeks after the end of employment. Article 36 paragraph 5. of the NBBU/Uitzendcao clearly describes this: “If the temporary employment agreement ends, there is a transition period of 4 weeks within which the temporary worker must leave the housing he rents from the employer. The rental price remains at most the same as the rental price during employment. The temporary worker pays the rent on a weekly basis.”
Is a deposit required and, if so, how does the refund work?
No deposit is required.
What is the procedure for complaints or repairs?
There is a QR code in every home, which takes you to our property management portal. Repairs, complaints and suggestions can be shared here. Our contractors, handymen, etc., are also connected via this portal.

We deduct the costs of housing from your paycheck, we strive to keep the costs as low as possible for you. We are doing this quite well, but sometimes a small contribution is needed. We will then discuss this with you well in advance during the process.
